Comments CommentsSkied the West Basin, North Peak, and South Peak trails today. Arrived early to get a parking spot, and to get some runs in before the holiday crowds showed up. The snow conditions were soft and grippy, it felt like Spring skiing. Still good coverage on all the trails despite the recent warmer weather, no bare spots were seen. South Peak had the shortest lift lines today, 2-5 minutes.

From North Peak you can ski down Walking Boss, Flume, or Sunset. From Sunset you can take Haulback to access Lower Flume or Lower Walking Boss. Or you can continue on to either Upper Bear Claw, Upper Picked Rock, or Flying Fox to Grand Junction, or you can take Crosscut back to the to North Peak Lift. The East Basin Lift is still not running. Cant Dog, Angel Street, Basin Street, Big Dipper and Triple Trouble have not opened yet either. Upper Speakeasy has also not opened up yet.

From Grand Junction you can take Loon Mountain Park, Seven Brothers, or Lower Bear Claw down to the Gondola. Or you can bear right and take Bear Pause, Rolling Bear, Dropline, or Link back to North Peak. Also the Brookway is open if you want to go back down to the Gondola/Seven Brothers lift area.

In the West Basin Lower Picked Rock, Blue Ox, Rampasture, and Lower Northstar are open. Upper Rumrunner is open but was roped off for racing. Lower Speakeasy and Upper Northstar have not opened yet.

At South Peak Boom Run, Jobber, Twitcher, and Jobber were open. Ripsaw is still closed but has snow making piles that have not been groomed out yet. The Escape Road trail is also open.

Haven't worn a mask yet this season.

Weather: Temperature was 32° to start the day, climbing to 39° in the afternoon. Patchy fog with low visibility persisted all day today.
