Comments CommentsJay Peak was almost 100% open on Sunday. I could only find one closed trail on the mountain. Some trails, especially higher on the mountain had very thin cover, but we're still skiable. The glades had very good coverage and were the only runs that weren't icy. All of the other trails had a layer of packed powder with ice below. Temperatures were in the 20s & 30s which kept the snow and ice hard all day. Lines were long on the Flyer and Jet Triple at mid day and the tram always had a line at least 2 trams long. The other lifts had shorter lines and all except the tram were ski-on by the end of the day. It was worth the 3 1/2 hour one-way drive for the best natural snow of the year!
