Comments CommentsMagic didn't get the lucky side of this most recent storm, but that didn't stop them from opening some new terrain and giving me a great day there.

When I arrived, the B lot was already 75% full, so I knew off the bat lines would be solid. The red line was probably 15+ minutes between 11 and 3, peaking around 1:30-2:30, with a little break during lunchtime when it was only 8 or so minutes. Green never was more than 5-7 minutes, so I stuck to that for much of the day, only getting in four summit runs (when I arrived, during lunch, and two at the end of the day). The conditions were dust on crust across the mountain, but still edgeable. They got roughly 5 inches of new snow, but some of it had been mixed with freezing rain and led to the dust on crust that was found on most steep terrain.

Nonetheless, it was an enjoyable day, and I'm excited to hopefully come back to Magic when all the glades are open and things are less icy.
