Comments CommentsAll of the expert trails were in great shape, we hit them one by one for first runs. They were still holding up well at 3:00. Post vacation traffic was ideal, very quiet Thursday with the right crowd. Ran into a staple character, great skier with wit to match. The wind was pretty strong on Hemlock, Thunder and coming up the southeast trails. Upper Competition got scoured a bit, with powder forming a strengthening birm as the day went on.

Wilderness quad started up around lunchtime, and we got two runs on it before there were some minor mechanical holds. They slow loaded chairs up top, and later in the afternoon people were riding as normal. Exhibition under the chair had corduroy after 1:00! Mohawk was my other love of the day, so curvy and fun. Small whales on the left side before returning to the summit quad...if you like to jump they’ll be your thing! If you’re not ready for them well...maybe you’ll get lucky...

The staff here rocks, they’re wicked nice locals.
