Comments CommentsAs nordicgal reported, it was 80's Day at Loon today! Lots of partying going on at the Governors Lodge! Lots of cool 80's gear and styles!

We started out at the Kanc8 lift today. The snow set up overnight, and was still firm for the first couple of hours. But it transitioned into nice Spring snow quickly as the day progressed.

The double chair was running today, Yay! We made a bunch of runs off that lift. Angel Street was still in good shape. Picked Rock, Flying Fox/Crosscut, and Bear Claw were still in good shape. Rolling Bear didn't look too good so we skipped it, taking either Bear Pause or Dropline to Link back to the Double.

Skied a few runs off of the North Peak lift. Flume was the best choice. Walking Boss was OK, but not great. Sunset was kind of icy in spots on skiers left.

Didn't go down to the Gondola, or over to South Peak today. South Peak reopened today, but will close for the season on Sunday, 4/3. The West Basin trails and the Kanc8 lift will be closed midweek, and then reopen next weekend.

We finished out the day at the Kanc8 lift. We took Upper Speakeasy down from the Loon Peak area. It was still in good shape overall, but was a little icy towards the bottom. Skied the West Basin trails again until they shut down the lift at 3:55. Rumrunner and Coolidge Street were nice!

Weather: Awesome day! It was 29 degrees and mostly cloudy at opening. Transitioned into full sunshine and great visibility by lunchtime. Warmed up to 43 degrees by closing time and still full sunshine, nice blue sky!
