Comments CommentsDecided to race up to WV Sunday and I'm glad I did. Nice spring snow, everything that was groomed was edgable. Cool temps in the 40's helped keep things fairly firm, sun kept trying to peak out, even had some snow squalls towards the end of the day. Green Peak had the best snow. Rode the lower meadows double too and spied on the ski lift boneyard. Green Peak is a nice area, but I really was never crazy about how severely they cut it. Some tree re-planting on the edges would be nice and certainly help with erosion. Took one of the last rided up the White Peak's Quad at 4:50. Lift stopped juuuust before the top terminal and I literally waited there for like 5 minutes while hoping they didn't just shut it down and forget about me! Never saw the very last run of a lift before. Checked out the new 6 pack parts in the lower parking lot. Season still not done yet! My goal is to ski one day in May!
