Comments CommentsStill recovering from late December's rain, freeze, and subsequent melt. With the return of snowmaking temps to South VT for the first time in over a week, Bromley had the summit closed as they were blasting snow on Upper Twister, Run Around 1, Corkscrew, Snow Ranger, and Sunset Pass. The Sun, Alpine, and East Meadow lifts were open, with about 3-5 minute lines at the day's peak at Sun and either no line or a really long one at Alpine due to what looked like a well-populated slalom race on Upper East Meadow. The mountain got about 3" of natural snow, freshening up what seemed like a frozen night-before groom. Thruway was by far the run of the day, as the snow made for some really carve-able conditions the whole way down. Pabst Peril and West Meadow however were really torn up, the former especially containing numerous ruts and ditches hidden behind rolls in the terrain. Not the best day of skiing I've ever had but certainly better than I expected.
