Comments CommentsTook advantage of the $65 deal.

The high speed quad and the Schneider Triple served the upper mountain, along with the two lower mountain bigger chairs. Due to the lines (spilled out of the queue by 9 at the quad; Schneider didn't develop a line until a little after 10) and the runout, I wish the Lookout Triple was also running.

To lookers left of the quad, Kandahar and Skimeister were open top to bottom, the latter in goodd shape. Kandahar was okay with some thin spots. Rattlesnake was open I think on natural snow only; thin and firm in places. Upper Arlberg was closed (snowmaking this morning), but Lower Arlberg was open (a little chunky in places). Bandit was good.

Snowmaking in progress on Zip Trail (closed). Competition Slope closed for racing.

Middle was so-so (thin spot at the top of Competition Slope) and Ledges was not great (blue ice bulges on the steeps). North Slope was variable, as the guns ran wet this morning, leaving some firm spots. The Alley was okay.

South Slope is only a few cat tracks wide of manmade, so it was a little congested.

Easy Street was heavy granular. East Slope was ungroomed with a few thin spots, but otherwise nice when the sun cooked it a bit fairly early this morning. Lower East Slope, Lower Schneider, and Upper Tommy's were ungroomed natural with some thin spots that will probably close soon.

Koessler had a few chunky spots, but Schneider and Artist Falls were good.

Nice morning under blue skies and temperatures warming into the 40s. Friendly employees greeting folks in the base area.
