Comments | The Fast and the Firmius - Londonderry Drift Saturday night's rain and overnight freeze made for some firm conditions! However, our choices were wise because most surrounding areas placed lifts wind hold (ah, fixed grips). We never experienced a wait, even with the quad still not running. Groomers were very necessary, as it took well into the afternoon to soften up ungrooomed and bumpy terrain. Enchanted Forest, White Out, and Pixie Dust were still firm but all different come afternoon. Up Your Sleeve was still firm, but a lot of fun. Wand was pure spring joy after lunch! Steeper ungroomed terrain still held its ferocity into the afternoon. Even when we made our way down Talisman, which had been sunbathed all day and was still in the sun at 3:00, we found it was manageable but super firm the whole way. I still love the character of this area even without the soft snow. I hope they can get their other chair sorted out this spring/summer for the next season. It's a really fun place!! |
