Food and Beverage Food and BeverageDid not partake. First time back since the panic; annoyed to see they got rid of the cubbies inside, so you have to either pay for a locker or bag check for your stuff, or take up a ski rack outside (odd). Considering how inconveniently distance Stratton's parking is, this doesn't make much sense from a guest experience perspective.
Comments CommentsThree upper mountain trails and one lower mountain trail open. Variable conditions following yesterday's snow and subsequent rain.

The flats of Upper Polar Bear were okay, but thereafter it was demolition derby with beginners and out of control fast skiers on dust on crust. Saw multiple crashes requiring ski patrol.

Frank's Falline had a few okay stretches, some odd divots, and some boilerplate. Bottom was very tricky due to the narrow Overpass/Grizzly Access and skiers crossing from the American Express lift.

Upper Spruce was also inconsistent, with some golf balls up high, divots on the pitch, and a narrow chute out via Interstate. Least crowded of the three upper mountain trails.

Suntanner was my least favorite. It's the only way down right now, isn't full width (particularly the stretch with a fenced off terrain park), and is crowded with different abilities going different speeds.

Noted snowmaking whales on Lower Spruce and Black Bear.

Nice morning in the lower elevations with blue skies. Upper mountain was in a cloud with some strong wind gusts (gondola running at reduced speed). Not too crowded for the first hour, but the seemingly high proportion of out of control skiers made it less enjoyable thereafter. Nevertheless, it's still nice to hit the slopes in November.
