Food and Beverage Food and BeverageDid not partake, in part because it's so inconvenient (shuttles don't come through the actual parking lot, and you're not allowed to store bags in the lodge; ironically the mid-mountain lodge has cubbies for bags). Noted that the fire alarm was going off in the main lodge just before lunch time, and the strobes were still flashing an hour later.
Comments CommentsFoggy day at Stratton with limited visibility above the mid-mountain.

6 upper mountain runs and another half dozen or so lower mountain runs open. Some thin/brown spots near the summit and down low. Generally spring snow everywhere.

Upper mountain trails were Black Bear, Polar Bear, Frank's Fall Line, Upper Spruce, Janeway Junction, and Mike's Way.

Some lower mountain trails look like they were opened a bit prematurely. The lower part of Duck Soup was mostly dirt with a strip of snow on either side. A few other spots in the Tamarack complex also had dirt and brown snow, as did the entrance to Yodeler and the end of Old Log Road.

Surface conditions were otherwise decent thanks to the spring snow. Occasional congestion from groups, but otherwise not too busy. Longest lines were for the Snow Bowl Quad, but even those were only a few chairs.
