Comments CommentsConditions were impressive considering Monday's rain, but a little underwhelming as compared to the snow report.

Stillness, Upper Sel's, and World Cup were closed (contrary to what it read last night/this morning), Periphery is closed/has no snow on it (contrary to showing open on the map), Psyched is closed with only snow on the upper portion (contrary to the snow report), and the lift didn't start loading until 9:15.

On the plus side, surfaces on the open trails were generally pretty good. Upper White Caps, Upper Tippy, Tyler Too, No Grit, Upper Valley Run, and High Country (wall to wall coverage) were all good. Upper Oblivion was golf balls due to being groomed out after air/water snowmaking, while Valley Run was challenging due to on-going snowmaking (a couple of guns running wet) and various abilities congregating. Lower Tippy was bad (ice on the steep, single-cat width coverage on the waterbars; avoidable by taking Siegel Street to Old T) and Old Tecumseh/Upper Bobby's had either a few thin spots or a few icy spots. Lower Old T dumps into either Lower Periphery (better) or Lower Sel's (a few rocks). Stemtation was narrow and variable, but there are some whales waiting to be pushed out.

Snowmaking was cranking on Stillness, Bourbon Street and Leroy's, as well as Valley Run, a few guns on World Cup, and some assorted base area guns. There is still snow visible on Gema from that aborted snowmaking campaign prior to the rain. Looks like guns could run on Utter Abandon soon.

Clear, sunny morning with temperatures in the 20s and friendly employees.
