Comments | Showed up just as the racers were wrapping up, so the slopes were fairly quiet. Conditions held up fairly well. The Gully was open on natural and had better coverage than my last few times. Variable conditions ranging from loose granular to spring snow. The Face was open ("Mid Face" straight entrance was closed due to snowmaking whales) and skiing decently post-race. The new Duane's Drop was scratchy. Not sure what I think of this trail; seems a little out of place. Only Milky Way and Lasky Lot open in the double chair complex (chair not running). Heard from a patroller that the lift supposedly needs a new haul rope, so it won't be running. Skyline/Bunny's/Easy Mile all had decent coverage. Did not venture onto ungroomed Chute/Perley's Peril, as they looked firm. All other trails closed. Nice sunny afternoon with more of a local crowd and vibe. |
