Comments CommentsLook back to Tuesday the 12th for my review of the Whitney's J-Bar at Black Mountain! Over the Kanc from Jackson and the Ski Museum in North Conway to my home away from home in the Mad River Valley.
Day 2 of my 6 day Northern New England Ski Odyssey, and this was the pick of the week for the Mad River Valley. Snow was perfect! Still powdery and soft, groomers skiied fantastic, even well tracked runs like Lower Antelope and Chute were still skiing nice. Mostly sunny and calm al day except for a brief period of dark clouds and grapple around noon. Just the Single and Sunnyside open but you can ski everything off those 2 lifts. Even went down Rat once! If they kept the lift open past 4 and my legs were younger I'd have skiied till I dropped!!
