Glades GladesGlades off lower Heaven's gate traverse actually looked tempting, but really too late in the season for woods. Murphy's Glades was fun, although that really isn't a true glade.

Comments CommentsWe used our bonus TBD day to ski Saturday and hopefully avoid the rain. Nice coverage and decent amount of terrain open. Every peak open except Castlerock, Glen Ellen closed for the season of course. Even one way down North Lynx Triple! Skied everything open except Organgrinder, Stein's and the Village lift. Spring snow which started semi firm at 9 and got gradually softer as the day progressed. Nice cruising turns on Jester top to bottom. Only hardpack was on Ripcord. Actual clear views of the Adirondacks and a solid 3 hours without a drop. Turned to mashed potatoes with the rain becoming steady after 12 pm. Managed to stay fairly clear and dry until then. Watched some of the pond skimming, took a break for lunch, then went back at it in the misty fog, which turned to a steady light rain, and just about freezing temps at the summit. Quit at 2:30, pretty soaking wet. Overall a really enjoyable late season day. Virtually zero snow in all of the valley, even barely any traces in the woods to be found up in APV. Season is not over yet, snow forecasted for Tuesday!
