Comments | Day 1 25-26. Wachusett got 8-9" yesterday and the mountain skied nicely today, a little scraped off on some pitches later in the evening but mostly packed powder with frozen granular near the bottom where I'd assume there was a bit of mixing or temps were higher.
The Monadnock Quad and Minuteman Quads were running while construction continued on the new six pack. Both beginner trails off the Monadnock were open, and Ralph's Run and Challenger were open off the Minuteman. I did one run on each of the greens and alternated between Ralph's and Challenger. Similar conditions on both, each had about 2/3 of the trail width groomed with a deeper base. The remainder was skiable off the fresh snow and was true packed powder with some more variables to keep it interesting. |
