Comments CommentsWith the roller coaster of temperature and weather this past week, the immature snow (rain) and ice event on Monday was less detrimental than expected. Opted to ski Sugarbush South Wednesday after making Tuesday an XC day. Still cold, but warmer and less windy than day before. Got on Gate House lift at just after 9. Conditions were best on Sleeper all day. Hit Summit and Jester around 11 and that was pretty good. I didn't ski too well. It was cold, I never loosened up, and the conditions were not the best either, but like I said its early season and Monday washed alot out. Nice to have an alternative in the new Heaven's Gate Traverse to avoid the cluter-f that is always the route below Allyn's Lodge to Heaven's Gate Lift. Downspout was skieed off boilerplate garbage at 11 am. Gadd Peak in the sunshine felt like being in Florida compared to the rest of the mountain! Finished at 2 pm. Happy New Year!
