Comments CommentsWanted to dodge ice and blackouts, so Lost Valley it was.

Indy redemption was super fast - they still use wicket lift tickets, rather than the cumbersome RFID process

The snow report is way underselling it - nearly everything (non-glade) is open. Only closed main trails were Raccoon, Coyote (whales need to be pushed out), Beaver (whales need to be pushed out), and Bear (terrain park event in progress). Everything skied fine, apart from some ungroomed recent snowmaking (Bobcat, Fisher, Rabbit Run) that just needs to be pushed out (nice that it was open for those who wanted to ski it).

I enjoyed the two newish trails that were open - Logging Road and Lynx. Lynx is good and steep, while Logging Road has a nice edge-of-the-area feel. The new chairlift is quick. With all three chairs going, there was never more than a few chair wait, even with the parking lots getting close to full.
