Comments | Race courses were being setup on Twister and FIS. I went down Twister but it felt icy to me. I avoided FIS - too many racers. I basically lapped the Vortex Double most of the morning. Lost count of my laps - the lift guy said I was the first snowboarder on the lift today (several times teheehee). Come to think of it, I didn't see any others. The top is a fast chute into a bunch of skiers hanging out - I am pretty proud of missing them every time since I don't really have any control with only 1 foot locked down..... I pretty much rotated between Cyclone, East Wind, and Duster. After 10am, when Cascade Basin opened, I went on over and enjoyed Backdraft but the lift line got crazy, so I took my last ride and took a hasty exit - signs on the road said Pats was full. NOTE: they were pushing out the snow on Tornado so hopefully that will open soon!!!! |
