Comments CommentsMohawk was excellent today, with virtually no lines all day and comfortable trails despite it still being New Years' Weekend. Conditions were great given the cold weather and recent snow (a fresh coating just last night), temps were right around 30 and an overall great day to ski with friends.

Most of the main routes down were open, the ones that weren't open (Chute, Route 100, Pinnacle) had active snowmaking. Mohawk was on the icier side just due to traffic, and Wildwood was a little crusty with granular but both were still fun to ski. Pine, Deer Run, and Victors all had good snow off the Deer Run triple. Ledges just opened for the season (just about the only time I've skied it and not dealt with ice) and I still don't get how they call that a beginner run, but I was glad to have it as an option. Arrowhead remains one of my favorite (albeit short) blue cruisers, and had great snow and was good for carving on all day. I preferred taking Exhibition at the bottom. Timber had really good snow even on the steeper pitch.
