Glades | Glades were in good shape. Some of the cliff/steeps were pretty scraped off. Other glades still had pockets of powder. Pretty tight trees and fast ice/pow in between meant it was hard to find my favorite type of glade: a little bit of everything. Rags to Riches was my favorite - perfect combo of pitch, snow, and lack of people. |

Comments | Barnyard Triple wasn't running so all traffic was on the 2 high speed lifts. Roads were in rough shape just getting there so I was only there from 11-3pm. Parked a bit of a ways away, so it was quite a walk. Lift lines were pretty bad but the lift attendants were really well-organized and packing the lifts, so the lines did move. After lunch the winds picked up and the temp dropped - Lower Ridge got completely blasted by wind. At some points it was difficult to even move forward in the gusts. Woods were the winners today - I pretty much avoided the groomers as much as possible. I noticed Triple Take was open but decided not to destroy my board assuming the cliffs would be scraped off. More mellow woods today held the snow well. |
