| Comments | Pleasantly surprising morning. Crowds were minimal to start. On the Holt's side, Worden, Upper Liftline to Kelton's Gauntlet, and I think upper Kelton's Gauntlet to John Meck were groomed this morning. Big Green had been groomed within the last few days. Worden was awesome first thing before gates were set. T-Line and Green Pastures were packed powder and powder, having seen not much traffic. Headwall of Kelton's Gauntlet has some dirt showing, but you can scoot around it and then there's adequate base. Did not ski lower Lift Line, as there was a fair amount of dirt showing on the headwall. Occasional lift lines, but they moved fairly quickly (never more than a minute or two). Very quiet on the Winslow side for most of the morning (only a few chair wait at most). Herman's, Pass Fail, Howard Chivers, and Lower Thomas were all groomed. Post Doc was decent ungroomed. Seemed like crowds were building as I pulled out a little before lunch. The parking re-configuration (I think this happened last year when the guardrails went in) is a nightmare. VERY unsafe today, as people had parked in the no parking zone, making the entrance/exit road one-lane (for bi-directional traffic), with a blind turn for those trying to leave. | |
