Comments | What a day! Everything was open and, though the parking lot filled, the trails and lifts were not busy. Perhaps half of the folks were on the new Magic Carpet lift teaching kids (I think they make snow on this novice slope now too). Everything except Ian's Folly, Woodpecker Alley (thin at the exit), Cliff Hanger, and Colby's (upper thin) was groomed. Great coverage with fresh corduroy still found even at 11:30. Even though it's a small area, it skis bigger than it looks, and has a really nice variety of terrain (steeps on Drake's Drop, Chute, and Lower Colby's), some classic narrow trails, and some nice cruisers (Wilderness and Race). Most of the trails justified repeated runs. I wish more towns had places like this! |
