Comments | Beautiful day here! Got excited reading Rocket's Friday post about the Bellows Falls Tow. I stopped in on the way up, but at 11:30 it was completely deserted. So, on to Ascutney! Everything open and groomed to perfection as usual. Plenty of nice snow, not terribly deep, but good coverage and quality. Its been a few years since I've made it over here. Parking area pretty full, but lots of people skin up, and lots of people tube, so the line only a few times reached as far as under the rope tow. It moved pretty fast, never waited more than a few minutes. Snow was great everywhere, most snow on Main slope. Looks like they bulldozed a better path off the top of the lift over towards the Broadway area trails, which is nice since it eliminates the hike up around the unload terminal of the old Hall double if you wanted to ski the extreme east side trails. Skied literally everything open in pretty much every combination from 12:30 to close, never took a break either. |
