Glades GladesFinally some good glades!!! In the old days the glades were SO limited. Some of the classic glades (which have been renamed) such as Screaming Eagle and Supernova were pretty tracked out but the snow was great packed powder anyway. I glanced at Gardner's Gauntlet Glades but didn't have the patience for another wait in the lift line and another ride on hornet, but, it looked good from Upper Racer. Ski's Chute Glades was fun then tipped into a super-steep Widow Maker Glade but I ducked out to Sweet William on the steeps. Favorite glades of the day for me were Kel's Kamikaze Glades - they are just so vast and varied, there is so much going on here. I could see doing that a couple times.
Moguls MogulsNatural trails had a variety of moguls big and small - I could usually find a way on the edges that wasn't super bumped up. I like medium-sized moguls, or "moguls" in the trees that have a tree in the middle of them.
Terrain Park Terrain Park(s)The park was quite busy - there were a lot of kids using the rope tow!!

Comments CommentsAbsolutely terrific morning. I was there from lift opening to 12:15 when I debated another run from the Hornet Double but didn't want to brave the liftline and ride again. I get it, that's why the trails are so nice - the lift limits them. I did a couple runs on the Eclipse Triple which also eventually got a line. I really enjoyed Upper Racer - so windy and classic and the big steeps at the end. There were a couple yard sales when I was heading down the heavily moguled steeps so I had to be careful to avoid the carnage. Didn't get to Shooting Star - for a groomer I usually try to hit it but didn't get to it. White Out was fun - I think that used to be Tractor Trail or something like that - always like its twists and turns. I generally didn't do any of the wide open groomers - I just have no interest. Black Sheep was a bit scraped off and icy, but, fun anyway.
