Comments CommentsWow, the natural snow is gone in a lot of exposed places (still a few feet remaining in the woods and other random places). Snowmaking trails still pretty much wall to wall with only a few thin spots. Low angle natural trails still going.

Kennebago Quad served only Tightline (ungroomed but not bumpy, opened just before lunch), Tri-Color, and America. Black Beauty/Frostbite/Warden's Worry look mostly bare. Family Secret looked skiable for a good portion, and it seems like there was still some coverage on Governor, both with some bare spots visible.

All of the snowmaking runs skied fine off the HSQ. Of the naturals to skier's right of the lift, only Upper Peachy's Peril (pretty good coverage still) and part of Lower Professor were open. Jane Craig and Upper Professor look to be toast.

I don't recall seeing Parm Belle open (seemed like there was coverage from what I could see). Lower Hudson Highway was open for adventure skiing (bare spots, mud, and rocks). Morning Glory still had close to 2 feet of base (and 2 road crossings). All other South Branch Quad trails appeared to be open as well (only took one other run down there due to the slow lift and low angle.

I think they nailed the grooming strategy today. Everything had set up overnight (despite temperatures being in the upper 40s at opening bell), so there were enough groomers to start, but having some ungroomed stuff (like Tightline) was appreciated early in the afternoon when the groomers were getting a bit heavier.
