Comments CommentsPacked powder to start (courtesy the 1 to 2 inches overnight) transitioning to spring skiing by the end of the morning.

Core snowmaking trails were all in good shape. Fearless Leader, Boris Badenov, and Dudley Do Right all skied well, the latter having an inch of powder first thing (must have been the first groomed overnight). Taylor's to Lower Easy Rider also okay. Egomaineah was good. Mahoosuc Meadow was fine.

Low angle natural trails were also open with thin cover, including Bullwinkle's Other Horn, Bullwinkle (just enough frozen granular base on one side under the new snow to make it decent), Wilk's Way, and Polka Dot (one short stretch is probably down to dirt now). Chicken Chute was also groomed and seemed to have some base (not sure if they made snow on it).

All other natural trails were closed, though a few (such as Lower Fractured Fairy Tales) still have some remaining base (just a few too many bare spots to easily ski). Others are hopeless due to the large mountain bike berms that require a lot of natural snow now (such as Skyline Drive).

Lift lines were never bad, peaking at a couple of minutes around 11 AM. Skyline lift was running loud and slow and is apparently schedule for maintenance after the end of the season. Lots of uphill skiers, as there was a 24-hour event going on.

Friendly vibe, partly sunny weather, and good skiing. Aren't many areas like this left!
