Comments CommentsSecond full day of spring with winter-like weather.

Spear Mountain had the best surface conditions and base depths on the mountain. Only a few random ice bulges on Flying Yankee and Showoff, otherwise good loose granular conditions. Race training on Flying Yankee after 9, but still open to the public.

Main Mountain had some boilerplate, particularly Newfound Ridge. Upper Crewcut was adventure skiing (sheet of ice with random bare spots). Birches was fine, but Exhibition is getting thin in places. Sunnyside was closed (looks like it could reopen for adventure skiing in warmer weather). Sweepstakes, Easy Winder, etc. are toast.

Spear Quad was ski-on, while the Six-Pack was usually a 2-3 chair wait (due to the long spacing between chairs and the lift not running at full speed).

Sleet changing to snow with just enough accumulation to start covering up bare ground this morning.
