Comments CommentsTricky weather, with temperatures dropping and winds picking up.

South Ridge Quad had all traffic initially on 1 trail (scraped/choppy), splitting in 3 trails. Sundance was best of all, but inconvenient, as you had to go all the way around the empty upper lift corral, then uphill to enter it. Really weird set up, but the lifties wouldn't allow anyone to duck the rope to avoid the uphill climb to get into the empty part of the corral. Broadway was scraped with minimal base depth. Lower Lazy River to Easy Street also had minimal base depth with dirt and grass showing in places. Lines were generally zero to 3 minutes.

On the upper mountain, there were basically four ways down, all intermediate to upper intermediate.

Barker Quad was the busiest of the lifts with lifts wrapping around both sides. Singles line moved quickly. Upper Right Stuff had decent base and some granular, but was quickly getting scraped. Jungle Road was very choppy. Ectasy was scraped in places as well. Sunday Punch to Lower Sunday Punch was very crowded (especially with park rats flying down and almost clipping people) and rather scraped in places. Lower Sunday Punch had minimal base depth with some brown showing in places.

Locke Triple never had a line of significance. T2 was scratchy, but perhaps the best because the slow lift and distance from the park kept crowds down. Upper Sunday Punch was a head scratcher, as they set up the park on this non-wide intermediate. The upper portion had some nice snow on the sides of the features, but the lower portion (e.g. where skiers from both lifts could feed in) had glare ice on the sides in places. Cascades was probably the better of the lower trails, but still scratchy. Monday Mourning was half width and fairly scraped in places. These trails also felt like human slalom from race training (no gates set though).

Snowmaking was in progress on Spruce Peak all day and the new lift was spinning (perhaps for snowmakers). Three Mile Trail also appears to have been pushed out already and may be the only connection to that area currently covered (other connectors to that complex still have stretches of bare ground). North Peak was also being lit up with snowmaking early in the afternoon and the Chondola spun a few times.
