Comments | Had a fun little change of pace today, was able to get up to Rumford and take a couple runs for free at Black! From where I work (Sunday River) it's only a half-hour drive, so getting there was relatively fast. I honestly don't know how often Black does these "Free Ski" nights but I tell ya, it's wicked fun. Bombing down the Androscogin headwall had to be the highlight of my night, as well as checking out the terrain park near the T-Bar. The nice freshly groomed surface really made a difference while skiing as well. I also just want to point out that experiencing what it was like at a relatively small local ski area was really awesome. The lodge in particular (in my dad's opinion) was "Better than the lodge at South Ridge". Single digit weather was definitely the reason why I didn't take more runs tonight; temps were around 7 degrees and windy the entire time. Fun time here at Black! |
