Comments CommentsPretty awesome opening day here @SundayRiver. Not too many people here on day tickets (only open for season pass holders), but nobody seemed to care. Everyone was all hyped up. Got there at around 8:50ish, booted up at my car, and was on the lift at 9:00, (They opened the lift 7 minutes early). The mid-station at Locke Mountain was also open for early season use, and you could reload there for access to Sunday Punch and T2 which were the 2 main trails open for today.

T2 was in good condition, as well as Sunday Punch. Both had OK coverage, but T2 had more snow and was starting to really soften up just before I left. That's when the line at the mid-station started to get pretty big. Stopped skiing at 10:15, and called it a day. You have the choice of downloading the lift or skiing down. I chose to ski down; though it was a bit icy on lower Sunday Punch. I took some pictures of the conditions, but when I put them in iMovie, they didn't really go through so I have like 3 separate videos of my holding my iPhone while skiing. Looked like a total Jerry, LOL.

Overall, great first day today. Shoutout to the lifties for being in such good spirits for the first day of the season!
