Terrain Park Terrain Park(s)Rope tow wasn't running, but you could get to the top of the park off Gray Ghost. 3 Jumps, 1 rail and box.

Food and Beverage Food and BeverageIt says on the website that you're not allowed to leave bags in the lodge, but everyone I saw just ignored it, which was great. It was -20 outside. Was more than happy to leave my boot bag and boots in a warm cubby hole.
Comments CommentsSo happy to return to Saddleback after the 5 year hiatus! With constant updates on social media about snowmaking upgrades, infrastructure, and new chairlifts, there has been so much support for this area, and I am glad to take some time off to visit. I have been waiting for this day for quite some time.

Arrived at the base lodge at around 8:30, got my RFID card and booted up inside. Happy to see that the parts of base lodge were rebuilt, it looked so much nicer than I was there last in 2015. After booting up, I took the Rangeley Quad, hit Grey Ghost and Green Weaver. Absolutely amazing snow quality. Nicely packed powder with fresh touches of wind blown snow here and there. Upper and lower Green Weaver were the best in terms of snow quality the entire day.

After lapping Rangeley for a bit, decided to check out the T-Bar area. New lift for this year, and I'm glad it was running today. I was the only person riding the T-Bar for around an hour, with laps on Silver Doctor, Blue & Red Devil, and Golden Smelt. Excellent snow coverage on all 4. Bit more firmer packed powder, and Golden Smelt had a thin cover of granular on it. Little known local secret that the lifty at the T-Bar calls himself Batman; with a Batman themed mask, gloves and hat. Love it when lifties have their own special theme to their area! Every lap we had a nice chat.

Only rode the South Branch quad once or twice. The Mrs. Duley Glades were really fun to check out, surprised that there was decent coverage in the woods.

Unfortunately the Kennebago steeps were closed, so I mainly stayed off the Kennebago lift and rode the lower half of the mountain for most of the day. Mountain Ops did eventually open up the lower half of Tight Line, so that was fun to ride mid-day. America and Tri-Color were also had some great grooming coverage, and had wonderful views of Rangeley Lake and the western half of Sunday River up top.

Skied right to the end of the day, stopping at 3:55. Took Royal Coachmen off the top out. What a day! One of the best times I've had skiing this year. Will definitely be coming back.

Temperatures started out at -21, and warmed up to about 12 mid-day. Sunny skies to start, then cloudy after noon.
