Comments Comments5 Lifts open today. The Tram, Cannonball, Peabody, Tuckerbrook, and Mittersill were all spinning. Only Zoomer seemed to be an issue. New gearbox needs to be installed; 2 - 3 weeks before it's back online (according to the tram operators). Cannonball was open for the first time in a couple days too, apparently the "maintenance project" was installing new grips on the chairs. Glad it was running today after a brief hiatus.

The line to redeem a ticket/indy pass stretched from ticket window down to the parking lot. Came prepared, but still had to wait. First run was at 10:05. Bit of a rough start, but improved throughout the day. Turnpike, Rock Garden and Middle Ravine were very granular, with some big golf balls in places. At least there's some decent cover worth carving on. Vista Way, Middle Cannon and Skylight were excellent, if not the best trails of the day. Preferred Skylight just because it wasn't skied off as much, and the sun really kept it nice and soft. Since Zoomer Triple is now broken, the Tram is now running every day for the time being. There's 2 opinions to get there from Peabody, either hike across from the bottom of Zoomer, or risk any and all thin cover trails open from the top of Extension. Opted for opinion #2. Bad idea. Let's just say it's safer to hike lol. Rode up the Tram a couple times after some failed attempts. Views for miles up top. What a beautiful bluebird day.

Also checked out the Mittersill area. Only open for experts only and racers. Signs posted upon entry via Rabbit Path would suggest otherwise. Only Skyine was open off the top, and had snowguns blasting all day.

All lifts were pretty much walk-on toady. Another wonderful day of skiing. Temps started out in the low 20s, and got up to 30 mid-day.
