Glades GladesFound it confusing that some of the glades had ropes or signs that read closed and others didn't and they all looked the same. Of course they would have been firm first thing. Whatever?
Moguls MogulsGood bumps on Middle Hardscrabble and some on the edges of some of the trails on the five fingers.
Terrain Park Terrain Park(s)Giant jumps that I can't imagine more than a couple people ever go off, they did look in very spiffy condition and construction so they must have a good park crew. I didn't see anyone in the terrain park going off the jumps today.
Run of the Day Run of the DayAll of them! The grooming was perfect. I flew down everything.
Food and Beverage Food and BeverageNothing today
Comments Comments Golly, I have never seen Cannon so flatly-smoothed groomed everywhere, I mean everywhere not a bump or a ripple to be found except on the ungroomed edges of the front five and Hardscrabble. Even the hike up and over the saddle and down to Mittersill was smoothed out. And what a delight the result was a fine packed powder service that was hero turnable right from the bell and softened as the sun rose. Every trail was ski able perfect, the few inches they got on Saturday night really stuck and made for a great surface. I skied every trail today missing some cross overs yes so not a perfect redline and I only skied Baron's at Mittersill since the lift wasn't running. Too fun. Few people there today so I felt like I had the trail to myself. I did see a few groups of the Brits out with instructors. No wind and lots of sunshine. I am so glad I decided to go today. I skied straight from 9 am to 12:40. I hated leaving. Funny about the scanning guns, kept rfid card in my pocket and they could scan me from 20 feet away! I asked. They were scanning at Peabody and at Zoomer. Saw three people skinning up.
