Moguls MogulsSoft spring bumps on Wardance, Sel’s Choice, and parts of Lower World Cup and Nor’Easter. Small and irregular moguls also formed on Lower Arrow due to high traffic on that trail.
Terrain Park Terrain Park(s)Multiple features available on The Zone and the progression park. The superpipe was also open.

Food and Beverage Food and BeverageDid not partake. The Waffle Cabin and the base lodge grab-and-go station were open, not sure if anything else was available. Upper seating area of the lodge was closed.
Comments CommentsFinished up my season yesterday at Okemo for closing day. I used my Epic 1-Day Pass that I purchased in the fall but never got around to using until now. Around half an inch of new snow had fallen overnight, but I arrived at midmorning and most of it had melted by then. The weather was a very mixed bag, with sun in the morning followed by a light rain shower around noon, which was snow/sleet at the summit. The afternoon was mostly cloudy with a few breaks of sun, and the rain gradually returned around closing time. Temperatures were mostly in the 40s/low 50s and winds were light.

It was a pretty quiet day, with no line for the B Quad and maybe five chairs at most for Sunburst 6 (the only two lifts running). From the B Quad, Lower Mountain Road, Fairway and Open Slope were open with thin cover and only a snowcat’s width in places. Off the summit, pretty much all the snowmaking trails from Sprint/Moment's Rest/Rim Rock over to Easy Rider were open, and most had generally good coverage. These all funneled into Lower World Cup, Lower Nor’Easter, Wardance, Sel’s Choice, and Lower Arrow on the lower mountain, many of which had chokepoints and large areas of thin coverage. A few crossover trails were also open, though they were quite annoying with the slow, grabby snow.

The snow was very sticky mashed potatoes for much of the day, with icy spots on some trails. I was able to get a good warm-up run in on Easy Rider with some fresh snow on the sides before it melted too much and merged into the base. Wardance also skied well, as did Jolly Green Giant (although it got a bit icy at the end of the day).

Despite a good amount of snow remaining at higher elevations, most of the lower trails are on their last legs so it makes sense that this was Okemo’s last day of winter operations. It was a good day overall and a nice end to my season.
