Glades GladesYes some people were out there finding it but perhaps a little more snow would be a good idea
Moguls MogulsSuper duper, bump tops and back sides were soft enough but the trough was icy and slippery but it was fun to ski them.
Terrain Park Terrain Park(s)no idea if they even have one????
Run of the Day Run of the DaySterling off of Spruce Peak, fresh tracks all the way!!
Food and Beverage Food and BeverageHot coffee in the Octagon Lodge on top of the Four Runner but they stop making breakfast sandwiches at 10:30 and didn't have lunch options readily available at 10:35 (there were at least 4 of us standing there asking for egg sandwiches). Late lunch in the Cliff House was lovely, not cheap ha ha entrees begin at $20, well a hamburger was $17 but the atmosphere and the view and courteous staff made it feel to us that it was a bargain.
Comments CommentsSneaky snow! Yup 5 inches of fluffy snow fell overnight and was waiting for us to track up. Over Easy Gondola was not working do to that it "It is Broke". Shuttles were often but would not have handled a crowd if there was one, so lucky us that it was a light day at the mountain. We had Mountain Collective passes and had to park at Mansfield like everyone and be shuttled to Spruce to get our passes activated. Staff at Stowe are excellent! We did 5 runs on Spruce in fresh powder and it terrific--good choice since the main mountain's ridge was in the clouds but did clear more as the day went on to our delight. Some big wig dealo men's Giant Slalom race was taking place on Main Street. We then went over to the FourRunner--they're making snow on Lords. Nose dive was mixed powder and extra firm frozen (icy) granular. Ventured off on some moguls too. Under the Gondola they were making snow and it iced our skis, not cool, had to scrape them off so they would glide but it wasn't horrible ha ha. Good day, actually a great day with friends at a lovely mountain.
