Comments Comments This is Loon's final weekend. I wasn't planning on going but with it not freezing up later tonight and temps in the 70s tomorrow, I figured today would be the last great day of spring skiing at Loon. Met up with friends and we were in the lift line for the gondola before 9 am. Oh oh the snow we called it packed corn for our first four runs which we lapped in just a little over an hour. People started showing up big time at 10 am and the lift line grew and they made it lap inside the building. We then stuck to the singles line which was out the door long too. A lot of snow is left on the mountain. We were able to access lower walking boss and it was groomed so nice and people took a while to get over to Flume and Walking Boss. The terrain park was super firm first hour but was really good corn after 10 am. Brookway's snow stayed fast in the shade and wasn't getting too soft until just before Noon. Lower half of the mountain was getting real soft by 11:15. Jeannie and I took one more run but the rest of our friends decided to call it quits. I got in 9 runs in three straight hours of skiing, the lift line really killed my run total. Thanks Loon for a fun day.
