Comments CommentsI was a bit slow to get out yesterday and got in line for the Jet at around 10:00. Much larger crowd than Tuesday, maybe due to the sunny weather in the morning, although it was still very cold and windy. I did three runs off Jet, waiting 25+ minutes each time. Haynes looked nice from the top but was in reality a sheet of ice, but Kitz Woods and other glades were good. I did not attempt Montrealer since what seemed like at least 75% of the traffic off the lift was headed that way.

At 12:15 I saw the Bonnie spinning so I got in line along with a sizable crowd anticipating its opening. After standing in line for about 50 minutes they finally opened it to the public after patrol finished inspected the terrain and putting out a plethora of "experts only" signs at the base. Lots of people didn't want to wait that long and left the lift maze, but I stuck it out and got 11th chair after it opened. For my first run off Bonnie I took Upper Goat Run into Expo Glade which still had some deep untracked snow. Snowmaking has stopped on Green Mountain Boys and Lower River Quai, the latter of which could be accessed from Expo Glade. Fun to play around on the whales.

Crazy how varied the weather has been this week. Rain, wind, bitter cold, snow, and sunshine all within 72 hours. But I guess that's the East Coast! Happy new year everyone!
