Session | Full Day |

Ticket Type | Season Pass |

Lift Lines | 1 to 2 minutes |
Trail Conditions | 25% open; Frozen Granular, Variable Conditions |
Glades | None open today. Patchy coverage in most of the glades, areas with more shade seemed to have more snow. Some might be skiable with caution after the new snow tonight. |
Moguls | Mogul courses (icy) on the sides of Skidder and Lower Comp Hill. A few very small random moguls popped up on a few higher-traffic trails throughout the day. |
Terrain Park(s) | Skybound (off Lower Whiffletree) was open; the larger parks (Cruiser and The Yard) were actively being rebuilt. Sidewinder still has good snow coverage and could reopen soon. |
Run of the Day | Sluice |
Food and Beverage | Did not partake |

Comments | Kudos to the mountain ops teams for their work in reclaiming terrain after this nasty thaw-freeze cycle! Superquad, Double Runner East, Snubber, Skidway and the CVA T-bar were open to begin with while other areas were still being groomed out, then Bucksaw, Skyline and Whiffletree opened. Most snowmaking trails had good width still, with few bare spots or ice bulges. Conditions were groomed hardpack at first, later turning into frozen/loose granular, golf balls, or spring snow (at the lowest elevations). My favorite run was on the corduroy on Sluice right after it opened midmorning, with Hayburner, Spillway and a few of the West Mountain trails also being fun. The worst trails in my opinion were Lower Gondi Line and Skidder, which were both entirely golf balls. Sluice Chute/Headwall was open for an hour or two after Skyline opened, but got roped due to apparently having very bad conditions despite a morning groom. Narrow Gauge and Competition Hill were closed for race training although I saw some members of the public sneak onto the latter.
Just for fun, I went all the way down Snowbrook to the base of Snubber for a run. There was one place where walking was required to cross a road since the snow under the bridge had melted out. The ride back up was long and I won’t be doing it again any time soon, but it was cool to do it once I guess.
Lift lines were the longest at Superquad in the morning before the other lifts opened; it was about 5-7 minutes which felt quite busy for a weekday. Lines for all lifts were only a few chairs at most in the afternoon however, since the crowds spread out. It was a sunny bluebird day until the last few hours when it got more cloudy, temperatures were very comfortable, and there wasn't much wind. It was honestly a pretty solid day considering the weather we've had; here's hoping the snow overnight improves conditions and maybe helps some more terrain reopen! |
