Ticket Type | Season Pass |
Lift Lines | 3 to 5 minutes |
Trail Conditions | 35% open; Frozen Granular, Wet Packed Powder |

Glades | None officially open, but people were ducking into various glades. Gondi Glade looked to have decent coverage, but you were scraping the ice underneath the powder on every turn. Other glades looked quite bony. |
Moguls | No true bump runs open, but many of the steeper trails developed small moguls as they got skied off |
Terrain Park(s) | The larger terrain parks were open but I didn’t go over to the Whiffletree area today |
Run of the Day | Gondola Line |
Food and Beverage | Did not partake |

Comments | Post thaw-freeze recovery continued today with the reopening of the snowmaking terrain in the King Pine area, where the ropes dropped a couple of hours after opening. Timberline was slated to run too, and while it was spinning briefly in the morning, it never opened since apparently conditions at the summit were ultimately too poor. The mountain was busier than yesterday due to it being a weekend, with lines of 5-10 minutes at upper mountain lifts in the morning, although it emptied out substantially in the afternoon.
The 3-4’’ of new slightly wet snow overnight made for some nice fresh turns for the first hour or two, but many of the steeper trails got skied off towards the end of the day with choppy loose granular or golf balls from yesterday mixing into the powder, with boilerplate patches developing as well. Gondi Line (open from Spillway X-Cut today) was nice just after it opened. Lower angle trails also skied well, especially Timberline.
Cloudy day with occasional breaks of sun and light snow throughout the day. Comfortable temperatures, though it got moderately windy on the upper mountain. |
