Comments | I parked at South Peak and was on the lift shortly after 8:30. The steep trails were nice granular with some powder. Then I took the sideways chair and did a couple of runs on the kanc 8. By that time lines started to grow. Loved watching the kids mogul competition! All lower angle trails were packed powder. I was so pleasantly surprised, Loon has so much snow! Even by the time I got over to Walking Boss it had good sections of packed powder and washable frozen granular. Glad the hosts were keeping the lift lines under control. I think everyone had the same idea get the goods before mother nature's blow torch comes out tomorrow. I left at 10:45. It was getting too busy for me and I planned to xc ski at Waterville Valley after lunch. We received little snow in Franconia but Loon and WV got at least 5 inches. I know by Tuesday we will be talking about what's left. But thia morning was wonderful. |
