Comments | A dusting of snow Sunday morning made for some enjoyable soft turns early on, though it started to clear and warm up around noon. The base was (surprise surprise) firm/boilerplate underneath the thin coating of softer stuff on top. It was a bit more windy but all lifts still ran, with shorter lines than on Saturday. My legs were feeling it after a couple runs of icy bumps and I had to leave for home anyways, but I have a feeling that the afternoon might have actually been better than the morning as the snow softened from the warming weather.
Despite it not being amazing conditions, I'm still glad I was at Jay this past weekend since I wouldn't be surprised if the "nonfrozen precipitation" coming up takes out some the natural terrain for the rest of the season. |
