Comments | On the lift by ten am and it was FIRM but by 11 it was nice soft spring snow and warming up even more fast. Sun out, no wind and no lift lines. Took a run from the top down Taft and it was nice edge-able le frozen granular. They groomed all the open trails well. I thr went to the Zoomer chair, open trails were; Gary's, rocket and zoomer were soft. Zoomer had a choke point and young boys avoided it by skiing the grass, very amusing to watch and they managed to do it wonderfully, Candide would be proud. Met a lot of Indy pass and passholders. By Noon looked like more people on the deck than on th slopes. Mittersill wasn't open even though Barron's has enough snow to last until August (joke folks). So four runs from the summit Taft, ravine, cannon and tram. Melted out so everyone had to take Spooky to get off the summit. Maybe I am being generous with th 50 percent open? I enjoyed the views and was glad to have mostly uncrowded trails to ski, choke points and intersections at times felt scary. Good last day of the season at Cannon. It was Bwoods last day too. And Ellen retired from JacksonXC today. |
